Chiltern Open Air Museum is an outdoor museum in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, set within the beautiful Chilterns countryside. We are home to over 30 rescued historic buildings including: a 1940s Prefab, Victorian toll house, blacksmith’s forge, Iron Age roundhouse, WWI and WWII Nissen huts and working historic farm.

The Museum is a popular venue for filming and has been used for Downton Abbey, Mary Queen of Scots, Call the Midwife, Horrible Histories, Midsomer Murders, The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, Grantchester, Drunk Histories and many more.

By pre-booking your friends, family or society group day trip you can take advantage of our special group rates.

Group rates are available for groups of 15 or more. School visits must be booked via our learning team on learningteam@coam.org.uk
