Cavalry and Cannons 24 & 25 May
Cavalry and Cannons: The Napoleonic Experience
Experience a major living history event as the Napoleonic Association bring epic arena battles and authentic encampments to the Museum.
With over 150 re-enactors on-site, from riflemen to cavalry, visitors can witness expert displays of skirmishes, horsepower, canons and weaponry from the Napoleonic era.
At this living history event, the sights and sounds of the early 19th century come alive. From the uniforms and drill of the common soldier to the daily life of civilians caught in an age of empire, revolution, and resilience.
Step back into a world of musket smoke, thundering hooves, and gain an insight into the encampments where soldiers and their wives lived during this momentous time.
Displays throughout the day include the rifles gathering for drills, horse mounted cavalry displaying their skills, canon-firing, weapons competitions and an epic skirmish that brings the Napoleonic battlefield to life.
This is a Premium admission day. Free entry for COAM Annual Members.
